From Our Founder
by Sandra Johnson

Sandra Johnson, FounderChristmas is one of my favorite times of the year. A time to celebrate our Savior's birth; to spend quality time with family and friends.

It was this baby in a manger who would go to the cross for us. Emmanuel, God with us, came to free those who are in bondage (Isaiah 61:1-3). This is the reason we celebrate, and this is the message we desire to share with you and those who are in slavery to human trafficking. As you gather for Christmas, my hope is that you will pray for the millions of people in slavery who will wake up Christmas morning in a place they don't want to be, doing things they don't want to do, with no way out. They will not be celebrating Christmas the way we have the freedom to.

May each of you know you are loved and appreciated. May the beauty of Christmas and our Savior's birth fill your heart with happiness, peace, and joy as you gather with family and friends. May the love of Jesus surround you this season.

As we approach the new year our hope is that you will come along side us in our fight to free victims of human trafficking and share with them our hope in Jesus.

Pray and ask God how He would have you to respond. Check out our website and Facebook page. Contact us for more information in how you can get involved and make a difference.

Kendall WolzKendall Wolz grew up in Kenansville, North Carolina. She attended the UNC Chapel Hill for one year before moving to New Orleans at the age of 19 to work with homeless women and children at Baptist Friendship House where she is now the Assistant Director.  She earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of New Orleans in 2013 and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Counseling at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

She is passionate about helping women and children impacted by human trafficking and has been working in partnership with various organizations to help victims of trafficking since 2010. Kendall has chosen to redeem her own history of being sexually abused by helping others to be brave as well.  The impact of her experiences continues to embolden and protect others through her work and her new blog "Brave Girl, Speak." www.notjustalist.wordpress.com

Victim's Pregnancy Leads to Freedom

By Alex Herring
Stock PhotoWe first met A. when she was seven months pregnant—the result of a violent night's encounter with one of her trafficker's customers.

A. was lucky enough to escape her exploitative situation, but needed a safe place to stay. That's where Triad Ladder of Hope was able to step in and provide A. the support she needs as she establishes a new independence, away from the clutch of her trafficker.

We were by A.'s side in September when she gave birth to a healthy baby boy that was adopted by a family in New York.  We continue to support her as she bounces back from adversity with a smile and a sweet spirit. We've already seen how God has begun to heal her heart, and we are blessed to have the opportunity to meet her needs however we can.
Your Gifts Make a Real Difference!
by Bob Paulson

The most meaningful gift you can give this season is one that has the power to change a life: The gift of restoration and wholeness for survivors of sex trafficking right here in North Carolina.

Your generosity has helped Triad Ladder of Hope touch hundreds of lives this year through helping clients find stability and a new life of freedom, educating churches and other groups about human trafficking, and visiting strip clubs to offer love and a way out to any who are willing.

Your continued support of Triad Ladder of Hope will help us change even more lives, and time is running out to make a tax-deductible donation in 2016.

Reflect Hope Salisbury:
Looking for a Few Good Women

Reflect Hope Pampering Bags

If you have a passion for reaching the lost for the Lord, please pray about joining us in our adult entertainment ministry: Reflect Hope. Each month, we enter the clubs in Salisbury, NC to build relationships with the girls and hand-deliver a bag of goodies. We pray over each bag before it is delivered, and we have been able to help a few women get out of the industry.

We currently have a need for a Pampering Bag Coordinator (Salisbury). This person will be in charge of putting together approximately 20 "pampering" bags each month which are distributed to the girls on the night we visit the clubs. To join in this vital ministry, please contact Mitzi Weber at 704-762-1261 or write to mitzi@triadladderofhope.org.

"I waited patiently for the Lord;
    he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
    out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
    and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
    a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
    and put their trust in him."

Psalm 40:1-3
