Saturday  April 17 2021
3.00–6.00PM at 303 High Street, Northcote

Come and play!

So far 2021 is panning out a bit better for our live music scene and we are glad to continue with our live Sessions at Bar 303.  Did we just say that out loud? Can we stop holding our breath yet? Whatever - let's just get  together and play !

This time, we are bringing you a special feature artist, one of our beloved and super talented long time Guild members (see below for more details).    This means there will be 8 spots open for songwriters - currently there are only 6 places left, so get in now as places fill fast.

Feature artist

Christina Green will present her new work, a song cycle called Songs in a Time of Coronavirus. This is a group of eight short songs on themes coming out of the Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic – from personal experiences to stories from the wider world. She will also chat about the creation process, the concept of the song cycle, and play one or two related pieces.

If you can't wait that long, you can also see Christina play a full set on Wednesday March 24th at the Drunken Poet, 65 Peel St West Melbourne - be there by 8 pm.

The DSG is the place for new and emerging songwriters, those looking for a place to try out new work or even those who have been playing for ever but are looking for a friendly place to share their music.  Get together with other songwriters to learn from and encourage each other, to listen and be listened to.
If you want to play a three-song set
on 17 April, email us now at

Please note that if there are more applicants than spots available, preference will be given to those who have not played recently or at all.
