Next Songwriting Workshop:
Monday 16 March

Songwriting workshops are usually held on the second Monday of each month. However the second Monday of March is the Labour Day public holiday, and experience has taught us that people are often disinclined to come out on the last night of a long weekend. So this year we moving forward workshops that would otherwise fall on a public holiday to the following week. All the dates for the year are on our website.

Stuck on a song? Not sure where to take it? Or maybe you think it’s awesome but you’d like a second opinion? Well come on down to
The Rose Shamrock Hotel at 709 Plenty Road, Reservoir, at 7.30 pm on Monday 16 March (after you’ve RSVPed to workshops@darebinsongwritersguild.org so we know who's coming) and share your work in progress (or old song you're not sure about) with a friendly critical audience.

Workshops are a great way to dig into a song and figure out how to polish it up to really make it shine. They can also be a challenge: can you write a new song between now and then?
For those who want to rise to the challenge of writing a new song for the workshop, we once again have an optional theme. This month it's: write a song based on a poem or another song lyric.

Please RSVP by Friday the Thirteenth (ooooh) of March if you’re planning on coming. See you there!

Regards
Dean
