Build Your Own Course Faculty Mentoring Program Returns
Faculty Development kicked off this April with the Faculty Mentor Workshop. This workshop is for faculty seeking to develop new cybersecurity courses. More workshops will be held in the future. For further information contact Tony Coulson at

Digital Forensics
The Digital Forensics workshop series started April 9th. Teaching digital forensics can be challenging, especially with the need to maintain a lab of computers, keep the software up-to-date and have realistic scenarios/evidence to work with. This course addressed many of those concerns using the Remote Access Virtualization Environment (RAVE) as a platform to teach Digital Forensics.

Future CyberWatch West Workshops
Check your email for CyberWatch West workshop announcements. Workshops are announced via email and are posted to the CWW website. Announcements are sent to all CWW members who are registered with the CWW mailing list. If you were unable to attend a workshop session or series, CWW posts the recordings in the member content section of the website. Login to your account at and under the member tab select Member Content. Note: you must be a registered on the website and be with a CWW member school to gain access to member content. CAE/CAE2Y Designation Updates

CWW encourages its members to review their curriculum and assess where they stand in meeting the newly released criteria for NSA/DHS CAE/CAE2Y Designation in IA/Cyber Defense. Throughout the Spring, CWW has organized informational meetings and offered workshops to educate members on the Knowledge Units (KUs) and other criteria for this important designation. The workshop recordings are available on the member only content page of the CWW website. We encourage you to view the archive and see where your program stands in the process. Contact CWW today for additional assistance.

CAE/CAE2Y Application Portal Now Open
Please note, the application portal is now open. If your school is interested in submitting an application for CAE/CAE2Y Designation, specific instructions for opening a CAE account can be found here.
