September 2019 Newsletter
<<First Name>>,

You can almost smell the apples in the air along with the Indian summer! The fall is a great time to travel, whether it's in Europe or an hour away from home. This is a great time to sit outside-- even to have a cookout! In September you have less crowds anywhere you go since the kids are back in school. There are so many opportunities in September to travel.  The high heat is gone, so you now have a gentle breeze whether at the shore or on the road to Tuscany.

In August, clients, Greg and Diana Kyle, went to San Francisco for their 40th Wedding Anniversary.  I had so much fun planing their custom trip.  I arranged for them to have a personal chauffeur to take them on their tours of Chinatown, Alcatraz and Napa Valley. They went on a romantic sunset dinner cruise with champagne under the Golden Gate Bridge. As you can see from the pictures, they created memories that will last a lifetime!  Congratulations on your 40th Anniversary, Greg and Diana!

Below are some pictures of this years' fabulous Finger Lakes Wine tour!  Everyone had a great time, we all enjoyed the gorgeous weather and spectacular vineyards.  Dinner at Belhurst Castle (built in the 1800's) was amazing -- there were two wedding parties going on, which added to the enchantment of the castle dining experience.  We were treated like special guests at all the wineries, and one of them even had a little puppy mascot, to greet us.  The sunset was breathtaking, and we all enjoyed sitting on the resort style setting sipping wine and talking about our tours of the day.

My hot travel picks for the Month- Don't miss these amazing adventures!!

***Scotland- History, Skye and the Highlands (closes in December 2019)

*** Celebrity Cruises- Summit- Bermuda and Newport, RI (closes April 2020)

So take that bite from an apple or apple pie and enjoy the Indian summer sunsets!

Travel, Live, Enjoy!!

Don't set your credit card on the check-in counter at a hotel.  It's too easy for a thief to capture a picture of your credit card with their phone.

> When the clerk gives back your credit card, make sure it's yours and not a bogus card.

> Never set your phone on a counter, at hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. -- technology today allows transfer of information from one phone to another just by being close to it.

My physical therapist from Priority Physical Therapy, Allison Brewer, has some great tips on protecting your body from travel injuries.  Here are a few she shared with me:
> When taking a long plane ride, don't forget to get up and walk around. This will prevent stiffness, aches and pains and decreases your chances of blood clots.

Why use KathyMac’s Travel services to plan your dream vacation instead of booking the trip on your own?
The internet is a wonderful, useful tool to book your own trip.  In some cases, you may find great deals, and it is tempting to grab the best price for your vacation.  However, those prices don’t always include fees, taxes and other service charges. Nor do they give you assistance on traveling to and from airports, or have a contact should you have an issue during your trip.  You are on your own.  If you’re traveling to a foreign country, this can be very scary and possibly dangerous.
When you book your vacation with KathyMac’s Travel, you will always get exact prices, and no hidden costly surprises. What we do for you-

  4. Arrange for transportation to and from the airport or cruise port.
  5. During your trip, should any issues arise, KathyMac’s Travel is there for you 24/7
