Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner?  With so much going on around the world, please remember that GRATITUDE is an amazing power! No matter what’s going wrong, take time to think about all the things that are going right, all the blessings each of us has every day.  There is plenty of lemonade from the lemons!

The month of October was a very busy month! On Oct. 3rd, my group and I left for Northern Europe.  We first flew into Hamburg, Germany.  We stayed at the Hyperion Hotel, a beautiful hotel that served delicious food, made to order by their excellent chef.  Our tour through Hamburg was a lot of fun with our tour guide, Michael.  We topped the tour off with a German lunch.  As you can see from our group picture, Michael always had a smile.

On Oct. 6th we embarked onto MSC Magnifica, for a seven-day cruise.  On our first day on land, we were in England.  We had a tour of London.  It was only four days before the Royal wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. London was already full of hustle and bustle and crowded for the “big event”, as you’ll see in the picture below, in front of Buckingham Palace.

On the fourth day, we could not go into Paris, France because of a transportation strike—so we enjoyed an extra day in Zeebrugge, Belgium! It was just beautiful there, especially on the canal ride.  Then we went onto Amsterdam.  We were very fortunate to have Dorothy and Van’s granddaughters, Hailey, and Corinne.  They were so polite and cute (as you can see from their picture below).  Everywhere we went, merchants from stores gave them gifts because the were so impressive. At the Ann Frank Museum, they were so interested in the history of Anne Frank, that the person in the gift shop gave each of them bookmarks.  We were fortunate to have beautiful weather throughout the entire time we toured this breathtaking region of Northern Europe.

My feet barely touched the ground when we returned from Northern Europe, as the VIP Tour of the MSC Divina took place on Oct. 25th! We had a beautiful day— it is a gorgeous ship and we had a beautiful lunch.  We celebrated Milton’s 93rd birthday and Debbie and Larry’s 16th anniversary.

I cordially invite you to come join us next year on the Divina to the Western Mediterranean.  See ancient Rome, Italy, Spain and Marseilles, southern France architecture come to life, as you follow in the footsteps of their magnificent cities.  Imagine touching the architectural remnant of the ancient walls of the Coliseum in Rome where the gladiators held tournaments! Imagine tasting the authentic foods of Sicily Italy, touring the Palitine chapel, built in 1132 with it’s breathtaking luminous mosaics and elegance! We will have a private excursion to Cagliari, Italy with lunch and wine tasting of the most delicious wines you’ll ever experience!  All of the tours are with our own private VIP Tour Guide and private luxury coach transportation, so you’ll be seeing out of the way places where the average tour guide doesn’t take you.  It is so exciting to be immersed in the culture and cuisine of these beautiful countries—we can’t wait!

The time is getting close for out New York City bus trip on Dec. 8th!  This is a great trip to get you in the holiday spirit – for only $69.00 per person!  We’ll have a continental breakfast in the morning en route to NYC, then we will be dropped off at 9am in Manhattan, and have time to see the decorations, go to Radio City Music Hall, or just shop and sight see stores like Saks 5th Avenue, and Godiva Chocolate.  And of course, you’ll want to see the beautiful tree and maybe even go ice-skating at Rockefeller Center!  Then at about 2:00, we’ll be off to South Street Seaport, to see the stores and the Christmas Light Show.  The day winds down about 4:00, when we get back on the bus and have refreshments of snacks and wine and juice while we’re on our way to the famous Snuffy’s, in Scotch Plains, NJ, for dinner (not included in $69.00pp price). Snuffy’s is well known for their amazing steaks, chocolate martini’s and extensive buffet with house made desserts! Snuffy’s is moderately priced and is upscale casual dining. We’ll leave Snuffy’s about 6:30 and enjoy a holiday movie on the ride home.  We’ll arrive back to Allentown around 7:30.

We look forward to sharing this festive holiday day trip with you!  There are only 20 seats left, so please call me as soon as possible to reserve your seat.

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Good for Every Body

My physical therapist from Priority Physical Therapy, Allison Brewer, has some great tips on protecting your body from travel injuries.  Here are a few she shared with me:

> Take a neck pillow along on trips, where you’ll be sitting for a long period of time, such as flying or bus trips.  This will help you support your neck and avoid an annoying stiff neck!
> Stay hydrated—when traveling, we often forget to drink enough water.
