December 2019 Newsletter
<<First Name>>,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
November started out being busy--  starting Nov. 1st. we were off with our private group to Ireland (through Journey's Connect).

We had a wonderful group of 21 people with us on this trip. We were in Northern Ireland.  Some of the highlights of our trip were visiting the Titanic Museum, Guiness and Jameson Distilleries, and the Great Causeway.  We even stayed in a castle overnight.

We experienced a variety of menus, specialties of Ireland, and of course, there's nothing like an Irish Breakfast to start the day!-- Did you ever have Irish whiskey on your oatmeal?  Yes, that's a traditional breakfast in Ireland, along with blood pudding, scones, and eggs, ham (instead of bacon), and homemade baked beans.  Dinners were fabulous, as well. Oysters galore, authentic Irish stew, bacon and cabbage, roasted leg of lamb. Everyone raved (and bought) Irish shortbread cookies.  Our guide, Donie was wonderful, as usual.  (pictures below)

Now, we're all, getting ready for Christmas and the Holidays.  There is still time to put a wonderful vacation under the tree for a loved one or for yourself!  I'll be finalizing the Scotland trip, so if you were dreaming about this vacation, call me as soon as possible.  (The group rate will be closing before the end of December). And who wouldn't love a gift of a cruise to Bermuda!?  Check out the details for the Royal Caribbean Empress of the Seas itinerary and information below.

Speaking of the Holiday's-- are you getting less sleep?  Are you stressed? These create the "perfect storm" for the cold and flu season.  They are all opportunists waiting for your immune system to break down.  Experts recommend yoga and deep breathing techniques, and Omega-3's from fish oil to lower both inflammation and anxiety. Especially at this time of the year, take care of yourself, first!

My hot travel picks for the Month- Don't miss these amazing adventures!!

Mac's Hot Safety Travel Tips

Mac’s Tips- Donald "Mac" MacConnell, is a retired police Chief, has served with the PA State Police and was an MP for the Army, is a graduate of the FBI Academy, NA.
Mac has learned a few things through his experience with law enforcement and graciously shares them with our subscribers for their safety.

Don't let the Grinch steal your valuables!
> Always have timers on lights in various rooms of your house.  This is one of the best and most inexpensive way to discourage robberies.
> If you're traveling over the holidays, try to have someone make regular checks on your home, bring in mail and newspapers (if you haven't stopped delivery while you're away).

My physical therapist from Priority Physical Therapy, Allison Brewer, has some great tips on protecting your body from travel injuries.  Here are a few she shared with me:

It's all in the shoes
> When doing a lot of walking on tours, make sure to be wearing proper shoes.
> Find a pair of good supportive shoes that lace. The lacing shoes give you more ankle support to prevent any rolling that could lead to ankle sprains.
