March 2020 Newsletter
<<First Name>>,

Irish Greetings! March is known for spreading Irish cheer and wearing lots of green, but it is more than throwing a St. Patrick's Day party.  March was originally the first month of the Roman calendar and was named after Mars, the God of War.  March 20th is the first day of Spring when Mother Nature comes alive.  March brings with it the promise of warmer sunny days and beautiful, colorful flowers.

Coming up, I have many amazing trips planned for this year and next year!
  • Our Wine Tour is right around the corner in August-- What a great weekend getaway this trip is!  This trip is super popular and always sells out, so if you're thinking about joining us, call to reserve your seats as soon as possible. (more details on the links below)
  • In October is the fabulous River Cruise to Paris France and Normandy on the Avalon Tapestry II.  This trip also offers a pre-package which includes a tour of Paris, the Louvre (where we'll see the Mona Lisa), the Eiffel Tower, and we'll stay in a beautiful hotel in Paris.  (more details are on the links below)

For those of you who have been asking about Ireland for next year, we are planning a trip in May of 2021, for 8 days.  More details to follow.

What's your number?
Credit card safety is probably what travelers are most concerned about when traveling.

  •  It's always a good idea to have your credit card numbers and credit card company's phone number on a list, separate from your wallet or purse, should you lose them (or have them stolen) and need to get replacements and/or stop use of them.
  • If you have a list, another suggestion is to have a second list at home as a back-up.
  • Never put your security code on the list, just the phone number of the credit card company and the last four digits of your credit card.

My physical therapist from Priority Physical Therapy, Allison Brewer, has some great tips on protecting your body from travel injuries.  Here are a few she shared with me:
Stretch it out!!
After you're done touring, give your back a much needed stretch to help loosen your muscles.
Here is a simple stretch exercise that your back will thank you for:

  • Lay on the bed, and gently bring your knees up so your feet are flat on the bed.

  • Slowly, with your knees together, sway your legs to one side, then the other and repeat this rotatation a few times.
