I want to share some news with you regarding our in-person worship services. The Elm Springs UMC Leadership Board met this week and made some  exciting decisions.
  • We will resume indoor worship at 11am beginning October 4, 2020. A couple of things to note: We will also continue our Parking Lot Service at 9am for the foreseeable future, so you will have two on-campus worship options. Our indoor worship will look a little different in order to maintain safe conditions. While the conference has no longer restricted gatherings to a specific number in attendance, masks and distancing will be mandatory at all times. Other guidelines will be sent out via email and Facebook as that date gets closer. We will need volunteers to help greet, take temperatures, and pass out masks for this added service, so if you are willing to serve in that way, please email
  • We are upgrading the media in our Sanctuary to include Livestreaming capabilities. Not only will this allow those of you who are still worshiping at home to be connected to those of us in our Sanctuary, but it is also a vital evangelism tool for the future. If you would like to give toward this effort, please let us know by marking your envelope or check "Livestream." We have a generous donor willing to match any gifts given to make this happen.
Please be in prayer for our church. Your Leadership Team has been faithfully working to make sure we connect with as many people as we can throughout the COVID-19 crisis. We've also been thinking of creative ways to continue to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that includes each of you. Stay encouraged! God is doing a new thing.

Grace and Peace,
Pastor Jennie

Help Elm Springs earn a Free YouTube Channel!

2. Elm Springs Service Day next Saturday (Sept. 26th) from 8:45am  - 1pm. This is a great chance for community service hours. We are partnering with Neighborhood Church and Hope Distribution truck to provide food for local families. We are expecting 400-450 people to come and get food.

ES Youth Group will be meeting on Sept 20 and Sept 27th,
from 6-7pm in the parking lot!

Please remember to bring items for the community love baskets, and we hope to have enough to make the baskets to be delivered!

Starting this Sunday at 6pm

Pastor Jennie will be leading an outdoor small group study starting this Sunday, 9/13. The study is called Gospel Discipleship, and is based on a book written by one of our Arkansas pastors, Dr. Michelle Morris. Dr. Morris has taken a deep dive into the discipleship styles of our four gospel writers: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. This study will help us identify our congregational "type" and our personal/individual styles of discipleship. Child care is available.

Hello Church Family!
We have so many yard sale donations that the storage container is full-to-burstin’! To help make more room, Elm Springs United Methodist Women will host a ONE DAY OUTSIDE SALE on Saturday, September 19, from 8 until 2. We will be selling “the big stuff” that is taking up so much room in the container – and maybe some small stuff too. You never know!  We would deeply appreciate some help in setting up and working the sale on Friday, Sept. 18 from 9-12 and Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8-2pm. Please call Mary Zimmerman at 479-601-1398 or email for more information and to volunteer! Bless y’all!
