We don't actually know the exact date Jesus was born - we celebrate in December for many reasons that are practical, social, and most importantly theological. Since the earliest Christian teaching, we understood that the Incarnation (Christ's birth) was a sign of True Light piercing the darkness of this world. It makes sense, then, that we celebrate Christ's coming during the darkest season of the year with lights, candles, and joy. This Christmas our prayer is that you feel that thrill of hope the Jesus' birth promises in the midst of our darkness, and that your soul feels its incredible worth to a God who loved us so much he was born to us, died for us, and raised so that we might live. Join us tonight at 6pm as we celebrate this incredible gift.
