It’s greater than your lies, bigger than the grudge you are holding, stronger than the heartache that you feel daily. It’s God’s mercy. It’s greater than our greatest hurts, sins and failures. Want some proof? Circle November 13 on your calendar.

I’d like to introduce you to a mass murderer. He was responsible for killing thousands. Yes. Thousands. Estimates vary from 12,000 to 17,000. He was known as Comrade Duch (pronounced ‘doik) and I think you will be as amazed by his story as I was when I first encountered it.

I also want you to meet Lang Tang. He is a survivor of the Killing Fields in Cambodia and he also has an amazing story of God’s mercy. You will be moved by his testimony and reminded that God is still alive and at work in our broken world. Lang will also have a Q & A time before we share the gospel message and have a time of prayer.

Sure. There will be popcorn (for the film portion of the event), coffee and refreshments! But we really want to see people on November 13 at 6:00 PM at Elm Springs United Methodist Church. Bring an expectant heart and a friend or family member (even if they don’t go to church) to hear the Good News.

Join us to watch the Elm Springs debut of "The Foremost," a documentary about Comrade Duch, Cambodia's Khmer Rouge murderer who come face to face with God's mercy. Then meet Killing Fields survivor Lang Tang and hear his amazing testimony of survival and salvation. Two powerful stories in one special event that you won’t want to miss! Wednesday, November 13 at 6:00 PM at Elm Springs United Methodist Church.

Faithful Friends of ESUMC is a ministry providing personal visits as an agent of God's love and care to those who are in a senior living community or are home-bound. Faithful Friends keep shut-ins connected.  If you know someone that needs a visit or if you yourself would like to be a Faithful Friend, please contact the church office.

We are starting a new Prayer Chain opportunity. To further enhanse our faithful  prayer group that meets on Tuesdays mornings, we are starting an Email/Text prayer chain. This is for immediate joys or concerns of our congregation or friends. So if you know someone who has an emergency and needs prayer support, you can contact us and we will send out an immediate prayer request. This would also be true if you have an important joy that you would like prayer support for. With immediate prayer requests going out, people will feel the urgency of our prayers. Please contact the office or put a note in the tear-off on Sunday mornings, if you would like to be one of the prayer warriors.
Leadership Board Notes
I would like to introduce your 2019 board members and let you know if you have questions, you can contact any of them anytime.

AJ Plichta, Brett Hash, Debbie Chandler, Jacob Barrows, La Dena Downum, Mark Randall, Phil Clark, Rhonda Nelson, Sandy Downum, Jonathan Griesse.

The board has approved a 2020 pro forma budget that allows for a 23% increase in mission and ministry capabilities.  Key drivers for this improvement are over $300,000 reduction in mortgage debt and a 14% increase in average monthly tithes and offerings!

Leadership approved and the church is now enjoying the benefits of a new audio and video system in the santurary.  This upgrade provides new digital technology needed to provide consistency, dependability, and an improved quality experience.

Leadership is currently addressing a need for a new phone system, evaluating our safety and security, emergency respose process, and providing maintenance on certain doors and locks.

The Leadership Board meets monthly and the date and time is posted in the church calendar.  Meetings are open to all church members.

Our location:
Elm Springs United Methodist Church
