I have been praying and reflecting on the rising cases of COVID-19 in our area and all over the country. I ask that you would join me in continued prayers for wisdom, health, and healing. For many of us, this virus hits close to home, and I know we are all tired of living with it and its ramifications. I am confident that we are taking the necessary precautions for our indoor worship, and I'm grateful for the support you all have given to keep each other safe. A few weeks ago we moved our Parking Lot Worship indoors at 9 AM to accommodate the weather changes. But there are still many individuals and families in our church who are unable to worship inside with us. This, combined with the spike in cases, has made our ESUMC Leadership Board revisit Parking Lot Worship. The weather looks mild for the next few weeks, and the Worship and Hospitality teams are willing to move back outside.
This Sunday, November 15, at 9 AM we will resume worship in the parking lot. We will continue worshiping outside at 9 AM for the foreseeable future. If the weather is nice, please feel free to bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle! This change will allow for more of our community to continue physically gathering in a safe and responsible way.
We will still have Classic Worship in the Sanctuary at 11am. The Leadership Board is closely monitoring local cases of COVID and will base our decisions about worship in the future on the information available through Arkansas.gov and ACHI.net.
