PASTOR'S CORNER
Elm Springs Family,
I'm excited to begin our next sermon series: A New Normal? If you're like me, you're anxious for things to get back to normal in your life, work, school, church, etc.... But when I am honest with myself, I realize that there are aspects of my life that will never return to "just as they were." You might be having the same realization in your world, too. But I am also realizing that God can do some of God's best work on us in the midst of change, big and small. Sometimes these radical disruptions we experience can help us let go and move forward into something new, and maybe even something better. We can either choose hope and trust into where God is taking us, or we can fight to go back to where we were.

I hope you'll join us either in the parking lot, or on Facebook Live at 9am this Sunday, weather permitting (see below for our "rain out" plan). We will be looking at Exodus 16 - Israel adjusting to the wilderness.

Grace and Peace,
Pastor Jennie

Inclement Weather Plan
In case of rain on Sunday morning, Pastor Jennie and Worship Leaders will livestream from the Elm Springs Sanctuary. You are invited to come and listen from your cars in the lot, or watch at home on Facebook Live. Immediately after the service someone will be available until 10:30 in the breezeway so you can drive through and drop off Tithes and Offerings.

FAMILY MATTERS - YOUTH
CALLING ALL YOUTH!  (6TH-12TH GRADE)
YOUTH GROUP THIS SUNDAY 6-7 PM IN CHURCH PARKING LOT!

Don't forget to bring your items for our community baskets (medical professionals, first responders, civil service)!

The front flower beds of the church are in need of some TLC! We need a couple of volunteers to pull weeds and plant some seasonally appropriate flowers. This would be a great social distancing project for a family. Please call 479-248-1290 or email office@elmsprings.church to help!

While the church campus is closed, the inside of the building needs some gentle cleaning/organizing and some easy jobs done. Again, this would be a great project for one family or for individuals to come in and work alone for an hour or so. Call 479-248-1290 or email office@elmsprings.church for more info.
Please continue to pray for the following people who need our prayers this week.
David  (and Mary Pat).... prayers for healing and that he has joy in his new place
LaDena...prayers for Daughter, grandson Jessie
Jennifer...would like prayers for herself and her family
John and Lynda....Prayers for John's brother, Tommy, His cancer has come back and hospice has been called in.
Charles and Cheryl Easley...pray for healing
Many others are asking for prayers for the President: Prayers for teachers, administrators, students, parents and support staff as we all prepare for the new school year with Covid all around us.

It is with sadness that we inform you that Richard Dale Warrick has passed away. He was a long time member of this church. Please pray for friends and family. His service will be conducted in Iowa at a later date.
