Friends,
Three days. Three days is all it took for Jesus to have his last meal, be betrayed, beaten, crucified and laid in a tomb. They sealed his grave with a stone, assuming his life was finished. They thought it was the end. But three days later, we know a different ending to Christ's story.
This week, on Maundy Thursday, we will take Holy Communion and remember the Last Supper of Christ. We will gather on Good Friday to hear scripture and sing songs and remember how they tried to extinguish the Light of the world. Then we will join together on Sunday for a celebration! The stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty! Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed! Jesus commanded us to follow him. Join us as we take the journey of Christ together this week at Elm Springs UMC!
