In the search of the best towels and throws on earth, MAYDE was created by a husband and wife duo in Northern Rivers, Australia with the ocean and a tight-knit creative hub as its backdrop. The now-global company turns to Turkey for its most premium textiles, and brings them home to stack their shelves with a costal-inspired collection we want to nest in. Hailed as "the softest throw you'll ever feel", the Hawthorne Throw is woven in Turkey in a 100% natural ivory cotton, and with a subtle touch of flair, features four contrast corner pop pom tassels. Designed to cover a double or cozy up a couch, it's heavy enough for the winter chill and light enough to add some 'extra' to your space. Find it below.

THE NEW YORK TIMES

I met Toni in 1978. I, of course, was a child: I was 27, and she was 47. There was a reading series at the public library across from the Museum of Modern Art. They asked me if I would read, and I said yes. They said: “We always have two people. Do you know who Toni Morrison is?” She wasn’t that well known then, but I had read all of her books. I said, “I love her work.” They said, “Would you like to read with her?” I said, “That’s ridiculous.” I mean, we’re so different as writers. But I did it, and it felt like a close friendship formed in one hour. - Fran Lebowitz
