Flash Fun Q: Where in the Bible can the Ten Commandments be found?
I'm on my fourth trip through the Good Book, and this year I'm on The Daily Bible reading plan. Before you start patting me on the back for my humblebrag, can I confess something?
I haven't made daily appointments on my calendar, and it recently dawned on me how silly that is. Why would I schedule activities like happy hour and golf but not block out time for something as important as Bible reading? I'm guessing if God saw my calendar, He'd rate it as weak sauce.
Here's what I'm going to do about it. At the start of each week I'm going to create appointments for my daily reading. At night I'm going to record when I actually did the reading that day, so I can establish a track record for future scheduling.
I have a strong suspicion that if I prioritize my Bible reading with a spot on the calendar, I'll be more likely to stay on track. This article agrees.
Care to join me on this endeavor?
