Wines Up! Your chance to Win a Hamper of Wine in Support of Play2Give
Do you love your wine? Love a cheeky tipple? Love a drink? Then why not get the chance to win 5 bottles of wine - yes that's right - encased within a hamper, all by simply buying a strip or two and supporting local charities in the process through raising funds for Play2Give!
This prize could be yours, thanks to Lee Crook, nightshift worker at Sainsbury's Didcot, who is raffling this wine hamper, to help him achieve a £200 target he has set himself to raise through a 1000km sponsored walk over 10 weeks.
If you would like this hamper full of its contents of 5 bottles of wine, and why would you not?, tickets are just £1 per strip! Be quick though... the draw is on Saturday (May 9th)! If you would like a ticket/s, you can click here to donate, and please email us with your name and a contact email/phone no for Lee to contact you in case you are the lucky winner!
Play2Give (P2G for short) was set up by Didcot's Andrew Baker in 2007 who teamed up with a small select team of friends to bring a football tournament for charity to life.
Since its inception, and now as a voluntary-run fundraising organisation, P2G has proved to be hugely successful and, in particular, over the last 6 years especially, in continually growing and raising more money than ever. Many thousands are raised each year for local selected charities, primarily the Oxford Children's Hospital.
The football tournaments have been hailed by past teams as being the 'best tournament for charity in Oxfordshire', which is a real testament to the hard work and effort that all the team put in each year organising these annual events.
Since 2007 over £34,470 has been raised and donated to these causes to date, with over £27k of this to the Children's Hospital.
As of late 2014, we are thrilled to be given the opportunity to name a room within the teenage ward at the hospital. At a target of £40,000 to achieve this ambitious target, we are already over halfway. A plaque will then be included on the door in Play2Give's honour. Please help us achieve this goal, as we continue to raise funds for the very latest medical equipment and facilities for the tens of thousands of children the hospital treat.
P2G also supports Headway Oxfordshire and the Oxford Paediatric Eye Fund. Over the years we have also supported Bone Cancer Research (in memory of Alex Lewis from Wallingford), Footsteps, SpecialEffect and Heads Up amongst others.
