We are super excited to welcome massage therapist Kaitlyn to the MNMC team

Massage Therapy
Kaitlyn is our very gifted resident massage therapist here at MNMC. She applies an empathetic healing touch to her massages and incorporates various styles including deep tissue, trigger point, relaxation, sports as well as active and passive release techniques. She offers an individualised and rejuvenating treatment to suit your needs and preferences of massage style.

Kaitlyn is highly trained in body mind practices such as Kinesiology, Feldenkrais, Iyengar yoga and Dance. She is committed to discovering the most powerful and effective ways of healing your body.

With a strong back ground in dance training, massage has been an imperative part of maintaining a performance-ready body and mind. Massage encourages a greater range of movement in the body, improves balance, releases tension providing a supple musculature and relieves stress in the body and mind.

Kaitlyn is available Mondays 9am-7pm, Fridays 9am-6pm and also Saturdays and other evening by request.

This time of year can bring with it many different emotions and feelings for different people. With our abundant lifestyles it is more important than ever to be gracious and thankful for the things that we have and the people that fill our lives. There is always someone else worse off than each of us and there is always someone in need.

Give where you can this month! There are a huge number of charities and services that always need more supplies, time and money this time of year. Give what you can! It can be as simple as a few dollars, a small gift, a little more patience, or even a smile - in times of need kindness really can go along way!

Thank you
From the entire team at Melbourne Natural Medicine Clinic we wish to thank each and every one of our loyal clients (and readers) for your continued support throughout 2015.

We absolutely love doing what we do. We look forward to a bright and happy new year and continuing to help all of you work towards and achieve your health and wellness goals.

We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays  and a healthy and Happy New Year!

  • 1 small avocado
  • 1/2 bunch coriander finely chopped
  • Fresh shaved coconut (dry grated is fine as an alternative)

Homemade Vegan Ice Cream

  • 1-2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 tsp organic vanilla essence
  • 1 cup coconut milk or cream

Ange's Mums BBQ Marinade
from Naturopath Angela Smith

This is Ange's Mum's special (but super simple) marinade for barbequed meats.

  • 1 piece of rump or porterhouse steak*
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or gluten free alternative like tamari
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • Crushed fresh organic garlic to individual taste
  • 1 small or medium chopped onion (avoid if you are fructose intolerant)
  • 1 teaspoon of organic olive oil
  • Mix all of the ingredients together and leave to marinate for at least 1 hour. The longer the meat marinates the more richer and deeper the soy taste and colour.
  • When ready move meat from the marinade and barbeque or grill to your preference. You can also cook the onions along with the meat.
  • Enjoy straight away with a  fresh side salad with delicious summer fruits.
Serves 1-2

*You could also use chicken, lamb or even pork.
