Wild Honey Yoga, Bodywork and Creativity
2022
.the creative unfolding.
vast, sweeping change, delicate explorations
bring forth the new, the next step
perhaps a sweet, winding opening in the lush green of spring
will call to your heart and invite you to begin
perhaps the owl calling will soften the darkness
and resilience will join you for the long way around
perhaps you might root a little deeper into your spirit name
and sing forth, clearly, that you are ready
to become, to bear witness, to breathe
into the moment that is you
.and you and.
you

The Ayurvedic Wellness Center opened its doors to me last year and I have thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with old clients (and meeting new ones) in such a beautiful, calm and light-filled space. Kara Aubin (Founder, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Herbologist & Yoga Teacher) has invited me to become a staff member in February, 2022. This is an exciting opportunity that also asks for  trust, willingness and presence.

My choice to work with AWC lines up with something I wrote to you in my last e-news: I will be doing my darnedest to maintain more space for my kiddos, my creative time and home-cooked foods while showing up to my work with presence, curiosity, patience and the ever-present desire to support each of you through the realm of connection. This time on the planet is full of changes and concerns that pull our attention outwards and I appreciate working in an environment that supports the inward journey, connection to wholeness, holistic health and a community of like-minded individuals.

As a Massage Therapist, Ayurvedic Bodywork Practitioner & Yoga Teacher at AWC, I will be handing over many of the duties I have held for my clients and students over the past 18 years. With less time spent handling the details of running a business, I imagine there will be more ease in my home time, space for writing, creating and taking classes. My training for Ayurvedic Bodywork Therapies begins this month, and throughout the upcoming year, I will be able to offer new additions or separate sessions to meet your curiosity and health needs.

In order to support the infrastructure at AWC and meet current prices for Advanced Massage Therapists in the area, my prices will be increasing to $90/60 minutes and $130/90 minutes. I receive part of this rate and the center receives the rest. As a staff member, I do not have control over the rates. There are sliding scale options available to those who have need. AWC is striving to create accessibility to care. If you have any questions about prices, tips, scheduling or simply want to chat about the changes, please reach out!

The Ayurvedic Wellness Center manages many things online (including massage scheduling) and has a comprehensive website that I encourage you to explore. There are also ways to navigate scheduling in person (post session is easy) or over the phone. If you are already scheduled for February, you will receive a welcome and confirmation email from AWC that will include a request to complete an online waiver and health history so that you are added to their system of records.

Oh, to keep notes online will be a leap for me, right? Most of you know I have been quite attached to my paper calendar! I look forward to continue working with you and getting comfortable with new systems, oils, friends and the heart-openings that will arrive as they arrive in this inviting, spacious and nature filled space.

Wild Honey Yoga offers a steady practice of essentials in support of strength and flexibility. The hope is that you will use the practice as a friendly container for curiosity, observation and connection. Let it be a loving practice devoted to the art of attention; a skill that opens us to deep, honest relationship with self, others and the mysterious, creative unfolding called life. Gina hopes to share yoga and the calm-quiet of the heart with you soon.

Please bring extra layers, props, your mat and a little extra cushion for the cork floor if you'd like it. While the beautiful, big windows offer views of sky and trees and bird friends, the space can feel a little chilly on cold mornings. Masks are required for in person classes.
