March Prayer Letter

'' "Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he shut up his compassion?"...I will remember the deeds of the LORD;...You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron."
Psalm 77

With the intense suffering continuing in South Sudan, it would be easy for God's people there to feel like the psalmist in Psalm 77 - that God has forgotten about them. We know that this is not true, remembering God's faithfulness and father-like care shown to his people throughout the Bible ultimately shown in giving his son on the cross. So we keep praying to him on their behalf. Please join us in praying for the many needs of South Sudan as well as our other projects.

Thank you so much for praying! Here are some requests for the new month.
Strengthening the Church through Bishop Gwynne Theological College (BGC) Juba, South Sudan:
  • Pray for Rev Paul Kayumba, a graduate of George Whitefield College, Cape Town (GWC) from Zambia (right) who has been teaching at BGC over the last few weeks. He says 'My experience in class is awesome. As I am taking research method topics, I am interacting a lot with the students, teaching them how to collect data and how to analyse.  All I read from them is commitment to serve God and people.' Pray for his time there to be fruitful.
  • Pray on for Elias and JJl Deng (graduates of BGC) studying theology at GWC, Cape, Town. Pray they would be well equipped to train pastors in South Sudan in the future.
  • Pray for protection for JJ and Elias' families.
