Montol 2015.

Montol is nearly upon us once again. This year we have a number of new innovations.
The build up!

If you want to play in the band, dance in our "community serpent dance" or sing please attend our "Full Montol Rehearsals" on Sunday,13th and 20th of December these will be held at 12 noon at the Ritz.

Lantern, Costume and Mask workshop 12th  of December 1-5pm Penlee Coach House Penzance
 Open to all 

Lantern, Costume and Mask workshop 19th  of Decembe 10am-5pm Penzance School of Art.  Open to all 

Saturday 19th of December - Pre Montol party with Kabasa – Welcoming back the light! @ The Ritz £5 – Doors open at 8pm

Sunday 20th December, 4.30pm. St. Mary’s Church Chapel Street. -Celebration and reflexion: Music for Christmas. Penzance Youth String Orchestra and Penzance Junior Strings.

The Main event! Montol Eve -21st of December 2015.

Midday – Entertainment in Penzance Town Centre.

**New***Guise sundown procession 4pm from the top of Causewayhead to Chapel Street

Entertainment in Chapel Street from 4.30pm.
4.30pm - Land and See
5pm - Circo Inferno and Dakka Doum - Fire and drums.
5.30pm - The selection of the Lord of Misrule

6pm Main Procession – On the stroke of 6pm the Raffidy Dumitz Band will lead the people of Penzance up  through Causewayhead to the Princess May Recreation Ground for the Midwinter fire.

6.15pm – Midwinter fire at the Princess May Recreation Ground. Featuring community serpent dance,.
6.45pm Return procession finishing at the Ritz.

7pm The Montol Revels

From 7.15pm – The Guise Guilds.

From 7.30pm – Community celebration with entertainment at the Ritz.

10pm – Torchlit procession and chalking of the Mock.
