A very happy new year to you all and welcome back to the new term.
As you will remember, Mrs Miller took a leave of absence from the school at the end
of last term due to her husband's illness. Unfortunately, his condition has not
improved over the past weeks. She is caring for him full time and is not able to
return to school yet.
Mrs Helen Weatherhead, who served as a trustee of St. Paul's for many years, was
a teacher at King's Langley Steiner School prior to that and is a school inspector, has
very generously offered to cover part of Mrs Miller's role in her absence and will be in
the school one or two days per week, where her existing commitments allow. This
interim arrangement will minimise the day to day disruption caused by Mrs Miller's
absence and ensure that the projects she has been working on can continue as
much as possible. Most importantly she will be able to support the teachers in their
work with the children.
We will be putting other steps in place to support the continuing development of the
School and will keep you regularly up-dated. Any communication for Mrs
Weatherhead's attention should be sent via the School office.
We had scheduled the All School Meeting on 4th February. The purpose of this
meeting is to develop the vision for the school's development. In the light of Mrs
Miller's absence, this meeting will be postponed. The Annual General Meeting will
go ahead as announced on that day.
Please join us in wishing Mrs Miller and her family well.
