Anthroposophical Society Talk

On Friday, 16th May, Marc Desaules, General Secretary and Treasurer of the Anthroposophical Society in Switzerland, will give a public talk at Rudolf Steiner House at 7.30pm.

Marc is a pioneer in the realm of associative economics. The theme of his talk will be:

Representing Anthroposophy in Practical Life – The only thing to do

“With the rise of freedom within humanity at the beginning of the 20th century, there came an incredible change in the way we relate to the esoteric side of life. The deed of Rudolf Steiner through the 1923 Christmas Conference shows us the only way to go if we are to take spiritual life as well as modern consciousness seriously. What does this mean for the Anthroposophical Society and for the School of Spiritual Science today and tomorrow?"

Based in Switzerland, Marc Desaules trained as a physicist before becoming an entrepreneur; his particular focus is on constitutional aspects and finances. He is a founding member and financial director of L'Aubier in Neuchatel, founding and board member of the pension fund CoOpera near Bern, and General Secretary and Treasurer of the Swiss Anthroposophical Society.

Accommodation required for symposium

I am writing to you about the WEA weekend in June.  On the 13 and 14th June 2014, Steiner House is hosting a symposium and performance weekend for Adolescents in Waldorf Education. This event WEA was launched last year with great success and we are determined to keep it going on an annual basis.

Young people will be travelling from all over the UK to come along, share and celebrate their wonderful work with each other. Some of them may be able to leave after the day but some may need to stay on as there are lectures and exhibitions of their work the following day.

I am looking for places for them to stay free of charge or at relatively low cost fees to allow larger groups to join in and stay. We have people from Ireland, Edinburgh, Ringwood, Wynstones to accommodate if need be.
May I extend a request your way to find out what is possible within your schools? And if so, how many would it be possible to accommodate.
Please could you let me know as soon as possible, that would be most helpful.

Thanking you in advance for your kind and generous support for this special celebratory event!

Warm regards
Michèle Hunter
