Happy New Year!!
Thank you for your all your care and support
for us as a family!
Hello and Happy New Year! We hope that you are well amidst all that is going on around us!
We had a good holiday over December - we were able to get away for a week - we went camping up the coast and went to Addo Elephant Park which was a great experience for all of us and especially Jamie who is crazy about animals. We celebrated Christmas back home with family which was lovely. We have been so grateful for our pool - which has been really well utilized over the holidays ... especially with all our beaches closed due to lockdown. Jordz is back working at the church. She is interning part time and will God willing start university in March (online for now). Nate is only due to start school in mid Feb as they are remaining closed due to Covid. Jamie is back at school and in his routine which is good for him. John and I have started work and are trying to get into some sort of routine. We have been encouraged by our J-Life country leaders who have started the year positively moving forward with the vision that the Lord has set before us.
As we have looked back on 2020 - we have seen the great fruits that the Lord has been producing. We saw many folk going through J-Life training in person and on various online platforms and many joining GC2 (Great Commandment & Great Commission) groups and starting disciplemaking journeys. What was hugely encouraging was the 117 leaders discipled to G4 and T3 levels in 90 gateway cities and in 23 countries across Africa. G4 means that we can count to the 4th generation of disciples, meaning that person 1 has discipled person 2 who has discipled person 3 who has discipled person 4. T3 means that we see the impact of disciplemaking not just with them personally (Transformation 1) and in their church (Transformation 2) but it is seen in their community (Transformation 3) too. This is HUGELY encouraging as we see how multiplication is taking place across the continent.
Thank you for your continued interest in our lives as a family and for your prayer and financial support.
Please continue to pray for the work of J-Life all over the continent:
The continued emphasis on MAKING DISCIPLES!That the J-Life 2030 vision is daily owned and worked towards by all our regional directors, country leaders and field workers.
Protection and provision for all of our regional directors, country leaders and field workers and their families during this tough time of Covid.
Protection for those in countries facing political instability.
For our J-life support base and for Warren and Lynette Jee as they do support raising for the ministry in the USA.
On a personal level - for wisdom and insight as we seek to be obedient to what the Lord has for J-Life - as we journey with many people in many different contexts. For daily wisdom, energy and capacity for us as parents. For Jordz, Nate and Jamie - that they would lean on the Lord daily and keep positive - especially in these times of lockdown and lack of routine and little social time with friends.
God bless and take care of you and please remember to let us know how we can pray for you.
With love, thanks and prayers
John, Lorna, Jordz, Nate & Jamie
We enjoyed family time together during the Christmas holidays
Visiting Addo Elephant Park was a great experience - especially for Jamie who loves animals
Countdown to Christmas was great fun
Many of you know Tara ... (we have been friends forever and she has been with J-Life since the beginning). Mike and Tara got married at the end of November.
It was a small ceremony with family and a beautiful, God glorifying celebration of the Lord's goodness and timing.
