Cultivating our Gardens, Cultivating our Lives

When gardeners think of cultivating their gardens, things like digging, composting, sowing seeds, mulching and watering come to mind.

Although have we thought about how they cultivate our soul?

Days when you’re feeling lethargic, frustrated or even a bit down, digging in the dirt is a perfect prescription to get the juices flowing, regain your energy and release tension.  Creating positive energy.
Tossing kitchen scraps into the compost can be quite satisfying, while recycling and feeding your garden with healthy nutrients.  Enriching life.

Sowing seeds into the earth, setting our intention and sending good vibes towards the future.  Positive visualization.

Weeding overgrown plant beds, clearing our gardens of toxicity. A fresh, cleansed mind.
Spreading a layer of mulch to protect our plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables provides protection.  Self care.

Quenching the thirst of our plants with drops of water saturating the earth. Nourishing our soul.
Enjoying the beauty of flowers and the bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables.  A heart full of joy & happiness.
Sitting back at the end of the day, feeling satisfied and fulfilled. Gratitude to our gardens.
