It's Time to Renew!

2017 Dues Invoices Mailed

Invoices for membership dues renewals for 2017 have recently been emailed to members.

"Members are the lifeblood of SVS, strengthening it with ideas and knowledge, time, energy and leadership," said SVS President Dr. Ron Fairman, who wrote members a personal message on plans for the direction of SVS in the coming year. The commitment and dedication members have for their patients and for the SVS itself, allow it to remain innovative, relevant, competitive and focused on the future, he said. "In turn, the SVS is laser-focused on increasing the value of your belonging to the SVS. Membership truly matters. Your ongoing support is deeply appreciated."

Membership dues should be paid on or before Dec. 31, to avoid any lapse in SVS membership, benefits and privileges.

CMS Seeks Comments on PAD, Exercise

Support Medicare Coverage for Supervised Therapy

The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services is soliciting comments on a National Coverage Determination to establish a benefit for Supervised Exercise Therapy (SET) for symptomatic peripheral artery disease (PAD). The SVS lower extremity practice guideline recommends a supervised exercise program for all suitable patients with intermittent claudication.

Along with our colleagues from ACC, ACR, AHA, SCAI, SIR, SVM and VIVA, SVS is supporting a collaborative letter to CMS, strongly recommending coverage of SET for Medicare patients with symptomatic PAD.

Please join us in supporting this important matter for PAD patients by submitting your feedback to CMS.
