We are ringing in the new year by welcoming a new Executive Director to the helm. Tara Dawn Solheim is a poet, writer, musician, singer, and administrator in the Arts. For the past four years she has worked as Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Orchestral Association. As past participant and Board Member of Sage Hill Writing, Tara Dawn is poised to take us to new and exciting heights.
"I believe in the value of the experience that Sage Hill offers and I’m thrilled to be part of this tradition," says Solheim. "I look forward to working with writers as they build their skills and careers."
And what better way to start building skills and careers than by bringing in Phil Hall for our 2016 Spring Poetry Colloquium.
At Sage Hill Writing we've been helping good writers write better for over a quarter of a century! Hundreds and hundreds of manuscripts have been written, edited, and improved through our workshops and colloquia, and young writers from all over Saskatchewan have enhanced their writing skills through our Teen Writing programs. This demonstrates just how committed we are to helping writers at all levels of proficiency who want to learn from some of Canada’s finest authors. But we cannot do it without your help.
We have always depended on fundraising efforts to balance our budget, keep tuition costs low, and maintain our teen programs.
