AASAS Happenings

Welcome to the monthly E-News Flash from the Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services (AASAS).

On May 8th, The Government of Alberta Human Services hosted the Minister's Forum on child sexual abuse at the University of Calgary. Honourable Manmeet S. Bhullar, Minister of Human Services and Associate Minister Sandra Jansen, brought together decision makers, front line service providers and care givers to address the issues and impacts of child sexual abuse in our province.

We were pleased to be a part of this very important initiative and had many of our leaders from our AASAS Member Centres and/or Services deliver presentations and have information booths showcasing some of the excellent work that is being done across the province highlighting emerging research and best practices in the area of child sexual abuse.

It was an amazing learning opportunity for everyone present.
