April News from Art IN Hand

Art in Hand Gallery will remain closed until further notice due to the continuing spread of the CoronaVirus.   We remain hopeful that there will be an end in sight soon,  but with the current directives from the Governor and the extended National Order, we will remain closed. We ask everyone to do your part to help slow the spread and we look forward to seeing you back in our gallery soon.

Studio Pets

We all know that pets offer emotional support, especially during these times. Artist Sylvia Gray has four such volunteers that support her through her creative moments. “When I get up in the morning, I am greeted by my studio helpers aside from the large one I am carrying. Billy my dear pug who weighs a mere 30 pounds. Before I make it to the studio I have to feed the helpers who really are not that much help except they are cute and will sometimes pose for me. My cat Booth, who is pictured inside the pole I use to create my Arashi Shibori Designs will pose the longest up to 20 minutes long enough for me to capture him in a painting. Billy and Booth's brother Bones only pose long enough for a photo. Then of course there is the old man of the studio help, Casey who is 18 and is a sleeping supervisor most of the time”.
