Fitchburg Meeting Canceled Tonight
Organizer cited complications with venue at last minute

The meeting for tonight (April 24, 2014) had to be canceled with only a couple of hours' warning. The organizers send their apologies and will keep us updated with a new date and time when it's determined.

OTHER EVENTS ARE STILL ON

THURSDAY – APRIL 24, 2014, LEVERETT
Showing of “Gasland”,  a 2010 documentary focusing on communities in the US impacted by natural gas drilling and, specifically, a method of horizontal drilling into shale formations known as hydraulic fracturing, aka fracking.

Tennessee Gas Company is preparing to construct a high-pressure pipeline carrying fracked natural gas through our state, including 7 towns in Franklin County.   There will be a resolution on Leverett’s Town Meeting warrant (Sat. 5/3) opposing this pipeline and calling on our elected officials to champion sustainable energy.

Please come and learn about fracking, how the drilling impacts
communities and why we don’t want this pipeline in our state.
