Quick turn of events for Thursday

Please pardon the fast followup to our last newsletter. There's been a quick change of events!

In a sign of the growing strength of the movement to stop the Northeast Expansion pipeline being proposed, the Thursday meeting between Tennessee Gas Pipeline's parent company Kinder Morgan and the Franklin County Regional Council of Governments  (FRCOG) has been postponed due to complaints of lack of space when it became apparent that the demand for public participation outsized the limited space available at the Olver Transit Center in Greenfield. FRCOG agreed that there was the potential for not complying with Open Meeting Law.  They “regretfully” canceled the meeting but will attempt to reschedule.

The rally against to stop the pipeline is going forward with a high energy gathering on the Greenfield Common, Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 5:00 pm. There will be music, updates on the growing movement to stop Tennessee Gas Pipeline's Northeast Expansion, and a chance to get to know friends and neighbors who share our concerns. The organizers have invited all of our state representatives to join us in dialog about this important issue and hope they will attend to hear their constituent's concerns.

For more information on the rally, please contact Jim Cutler - Hilltown Community Rights - 413-628-1505
