A Note from EVYP Executive Director

Dear Friend:
I would like to begin by sending my most sincere thank you to everyone who supported our Spring Soiree. Thank you for helping to create cultures of achievement among our underserved youth and their families. We have a full recap of the Spring Soiree below.

Our Student Spotlight this month is extra special as we celebrate our high school senior class! We are proud of their accomplishments this year and we invite you to congratulate our students as they embark on a new journey and enter college in the fall.

Finally, we want to feature another one of our dedicated funders, Northern Trust Charitable Trust. Northern Trust is committed to advancing the wellbeing of at-risk children and we are honored that they choose to partner with us.
With Gratitude,

Stephanie Willding, MPA
Executive Director

Spring Soiree

The event kicked-off with a warm welcome from our Executive Director, Steph Willding. Once the drinks and appetizers began, guests enjoyed bidding on our wide variety of silent auction packages, purchasing raffle tickets and networking. We had many familiar faces in attendance as well as new supporters. Our Founder’s Award Recipient, Miguel del Valle gave a meaningful speech about the importance of education in the lives of students like ours. The evening wrapped up with a graduation of the 2015 Senior Class followed by a live auction. Check out the photo album on our Facebook page.

Funder Feature!

For many years Northern Trust Charitable Trust has helped EVYP make college dreams come true for our students. Northern Trust is committed to advancing the well being of disadvantaged women and children as well as people with disabilities. They focus their support to organizations that specifically help people in underprivileged Chicago neighborhoods. This principal belief is what makes our partnership with Northern Trust such a success. Because of their support for our college and career readiness services, EVYP's students have made great strides in achieving the mission of Northern Trust. This year alone,100% of our high school students will continue on to college, and 75% of our college students will graduate within five years. We are so grateful for their partnership.
