Hello Friends!

I hope you enjoyed the holidays and you’re ready to jump into 2016! 2015 was a very exciting, eventful and fulfilling year at EVYP. We finished the year with one of our favorite events, our annual Holiday Party. Also in December, a long-time supporter of EVYP sponsored a fieldtrip for our students to see “A Q Brother’s Christmas Carol”, at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
Mark your calendars for our 5th Annual Evening of Revolution on Tuesday, February 23. If you’ve attended this event in the past you know how great it is! Don’t miss out on an evening of fun and laughter with EVYP.
                                                                                                                    Sincere Thanks,

                                                                                   Stephanie Baki, Executive Director

 Holiday Party: December 2015
On Wednesday, December 16th we hosted our annual Holiday Party. Many of our students and their families took part in the celebration. Everyone joined in a potluck holiday meal, games and a piñata donated by one of our families. Additionally, this year we enjoyed live music played by Jonathan Cardona, a sophomore at EVYP, and his band Rosemary Cronin. It was a great night filled with lots of holiday spirit!  You can see all of our pictures from the Holiday Party on our Facebook page!

Chicago Shakespeare Theater Field Trip: December 2015

Ira Rose, one of EVYP’s long-time supporters, organized a field trip sponsored by Cottage Jewelers, Inc. for 12 students to celebrate all the hard work they have put in this year! Along with Mr. Rose, students and staff went to the Chicago Shakespeare Theater to see “A Q brother’s Christmas Carol.” The play is a hip–hop rendition on the Dickens classic holiday story. Before the show, the students enjoyed dinner at Pizzeria Due, and after the show Mr. Rose surprised everyone with a stop at Ben and Jerry's! Thank you Cottage Jewelers!
