Over 65s Sessions

Do you know any Over 65s in your community or are you over 65s?

Yiewsley Cornerstone Centre has been providing over 65s activities for a few years now.

As part of the community hub the charity aims to create, the organisation has been expanding the services for the local over 65s and has two weekly sessions offering different themes.

Do you Remember? - A games and social group for residents of the Yiewsley Ward. Every Wednesday 1:30pm till 3:30pm.
Well Seasoned - An exercise and craft social session for residents of Yiewsley, West Drayton & Heathrow Villages Wards. Every Friday 1:30pm till 3:30pm.

Under 5s Home Learning Bags

Starting this September, we will be featuring our new “Home Learning Bags” in our Stay and Plays.  Once a month, a choice of three bags will be available to families with children.  Each bag will contain an activity for children to do at home with their grown up.

The activities use every day items, and we hope that parents and children will learn to love learning, and have some fun together at home.  Parents are a child’s first teachers, and have so much to share.  Our first three bags are Making Puppets, Chalk Play, and Carrier Bag Kites.  All bags are free of charge, and we welcome feedback to put up on our Home Learning board.

Meet the Team...

Hi, I'm Paul and I am the Chief Executive of the charity and the Children Centre Manager.

It is my role to oversee the running of the whole charity and make sure the organisation continues to work towards our vision of reaching the current and future needs of the local community.
I have been involved with the voluntary sector for over 25 years and have gained skills and qualifications in Youth Work, Management, Accounting, Leadership, Counselling and Early Years.
Out of work I am a husband, father of four and a granddad to three young granddaughters who like to demolish my house when visiting :-)
