EDSD Youth Collaborative is a collective of San Diego area parishes invested in youth ministry. We use our common resources to serve youth and family throughout the diocese. We meet quarterly to plan, collaborate, share events and resources, and provide support to those involved in youth ministry. Collaborative events include mission trips, convention, youth retreats, service opportunities, and various other activities including Nightwatch, Taize, and EYE.

The Youth Collaborative meets quarterly. The last meeting of 2016 will be held during the Youth Leadership Retreat at Camp Stevens on October 29 & 30. Our first meeting of 2017 will be on January 21st at St. Peter's in Del Mar.

If you are interested in joining the Youth Collaborative and are currently involved in youth ministry, you are welcome to join us. To be added to the mailing list, or for more information about the Youth Collaborative, please contract Charlette Preslar, .

Event Spotlight - CROSSING BORDERS

This past July, 16 youth and 4 chaperones from 7 parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego headed down to Tijuana to build a house. I was fortunate to be one of the chaperones. The four days that we spent there were filled with hard work, friendship, challenges, laughter, and love. There were dust storms that broke tents, and van batteries that died. There were also epic games of frisbee and cards and the most amazing churros you could possibly imagine. We all learned new skills and found talents and stamina that we didn't know we had. But the greatest gift was the opportunity to connect with each other, the family that we served, and our faith. I don't think that any of us who were blessed to go on this trip, will ever be the same.

T-shirt Design Contest

With Youth Ministry GROWING at The Episcopal Diocese of San Diego, we have decided that it is time we have our own t-shirts! But what should they look like? And who should design them?

We would LOVE to have the EDSD Youth t-shirts designed by one of the youth of our diocese!

So this is the plan:

Youth Leaders: Please download THIS FILE. Send it out in emails, pin it on bulletin boards... GET THE WORD OUT!

Here is what else you need to know:
