#coffeeoutside for Bike to Work Day
The League of American Bicyclists has declared May 20 as Bike to Work Day. Whether you're WFH or riding miles to get in to the shop, stop by at Richland Park at 4601 Charlotte Pike for a free cup of joe from 8th & Roast to hype up your ride. (Don't have a bike? Check one out from the BCycle station across the street!)
Saturday, May 28th, 8:30a meet / 9a roll
#coffeeoutside ride from Sevier Park
Join us for a social, casual, group bike ride. On-street and trailways. We'll make a stop for coffee at 8th & Roast on 8th Avenue.
In May, proceeds of purchases of 8th & Roast Concepcion Buena Vista bag coffee at both Charlotte & 8th Ave locations will go to support Bike Fun and its mission to create joyful riders. Look for the bright yellow "Official Bike Month Coffee" sticker on the bag - & tell your friends!

Pedal, Forward! continues
Every Thursday through September, join us for our regular FTW/women-only group bicycle rides. Any time is great to ride, of course, but it's even better when it's with new bike friends. This ride is no-drop, slow roll, centering new and returning riders. A brief maintenance topic will be covered at the beginning of the ride.
Alternating start locations in East and North Nashville. See the calendar for more details.
Weather cancellations will be posted on the Bike Fun Twitter account by 3p day of the ride.

How do you know if your tires are - well - too tired to continue?
Some brands will have a "wear indicator" that shows through the rubber in a different color, which means it's time to change out your tires. Or, they'll have a divot in the rubber which, when rubbed down smooth, means it's time to change your tires.
If you remove the tire and you can see light coming through the sidewalls, it's time to change out your tires.
And, if you see cracking along the sidewall, you're getting very close to needing to change out your tires (and may not want to inflate to full pressure if you keep riding on them).
