Pedal, Forward! continues
Every Thursday through September, join us for our regular FTW/women-only group bicycle rides. Any time is great to ride, of course, but it's even better when it's with new bike friends. This ride is no-drop, slow roll, centering new and returning riders. A brief maintenance topic will be covered at the beginning of the ride.
Alternating start locations in East and North Nashville. See the calendar for more details.
Weather cancellations will be posted on the Bike Fun Twitter account by 3p day of the ride.

Thank you - yes, YOU!
Bike Fun was created in 2016 to provide a space for curious people to learn more about bike riding - whether it was their first time on a bicycle or their one hundredth.
So far in 2022 we have connected with over 100 people who have come to classes, rides, or participated in one-on-one instruction. We have been able to hire 2 instructors, produce educational materials, and make headway into establishing community partnerships.
From everyone involved at Bike Fun, THANK YOU for your support, your donations, your comments and feedback.

Hot weather + cool hoses = a good time to clean your bike! Take a sponge, scrub brush, bucket with very dilute solution of dish soap, and spend some time outside with your bike.
IMPORTANT: Don't use a high pressure hose setting!
Flip it upside down and make sure to get into the underside nooks and crannies around the bottom bracket. Rinse thoroughly with a gentle stream of water, and then either leave in the sun to dry or wipe down with a soft towel.
If you have disc brakes make sure to wash them completely, then use a soft cloth with rubbing alcohol to clean the rotors of any possible soap residue. If you have an e-bike, make sure to cover the battery connectors & opt for less water, more elbow grease. (Better yet, check the manufacturer's website or manual for recommended cleaning tips.)
See this website for good direction on cleaning your bike!
