TOMORROW! Tuesday, September 20th in Berkeley:
March & Vigil for Kayla Moore
Where: Old City Hall (meet on the steps), 2134 MLK Blvd., Berkeley
When: 6 pm
More info: Facebook event (HERE) and website (HERE)
On 9/20, we will come together in community to keep Kayla Moore's memory alive in the streets of Berkeley. Join us in singing and shouting her name! As city government continues to fail to prioritize people over policing, what we really need is accountability, not a motion to dismiss. What we really need is community care, not killer cops!
Friday, September 23rd in San Francisco:
Court Support: Resist the Motion to Dismiss!
Where: Federal Bldg, Floor 17, Court 6 (Judge Breyer), 450 Golden Gate Ave., San Francisco
When: 9am for coffee & food, 10 am hearing begins
More info: Facebook event (HERE)
Instead of moving towards accountability, the City of Berkeley is shamefully shirking responsibility and filing a motion to dismiss the case. Make sure the judge hears our community's voice saying that Kayla’s life and memory matter! This case needs to be heard.
