Good Afternoon,

It's a New Year's tradition. The time where we make a lengthy list of personal and professional goals to accomplish in the upcoming year.  Two resolutions in particular, are often at the top of many of our lists. Losing weight and exercising more. But why are these resolutions so popular?

Maybe it's because some of us have negative views of our own physical appearances. And maybe this unhappiness comes from the constant parade of images of perfect celebrity six packs and unrealistic bikini bodies plastered all over the magazines and social media. But regardless of where the unhappiness comes from, the reality is that most of us have a hard time staying motivated enough to accomplish these goals.

So what if we told you that physical activity wasn't just something that could help you stay fit, but enhance your mental health as well? Would you be more motivated to stick with it and follow through?

In this week’s blog post, “New Year, New You: Physical Activity Can Make a Big Mental Difference”, Rice Psychology Group shares why it's important to stick with these resolutions and how working out is good for your body and your brain.
