Good Afternoon!

Obsessions, intrusive thoughts, fears and avoidance. These are all symptoms one may experience if dealing with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

While these symptoms may be hard for most to understand, they are all too real to those who live with them. A person with OCD is often stereotyped as someone who's extremely clean or orderly. But is that really all that OCD involves?

Those with OCD may find themselves experiencing fears and uncertainty that can feel impossible to accept, causing them to take action in ways that can make life very difficult.

In this week's blog post, "An Introduction to Understanding Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder”, Licensed Mental Health Counselor John Brazill breaks down OCD and discusses what someone with it can experience in their everyday life.

If you’ve been diagnosed with OCD, believe you’re experiencing its symptoms or know someone who is suffering, please then feel free to contact us for a consultation or visit the International OCD Foundation for more information. Several of the therapists at Rice Psychology Group are experienced at providing proven and effective treatment for OCD and different types of anxiety.  We have successfully helped many children and adults overcome the challenges of OCD to live happier and more successful lives.

All my best...
