Good Afternoon!

A new school year is here! While this is a very exciting time for most kids, it can leave others feeling very anxious and worried. “Who will be in my class?”, “Will I know anyone?” , “Who’ll be my teacher?”. These worries are normal, and there are some basic steps as a parent that you can take to help!

Firstly, prepare your kids! This is a good way to ensure that they have a successful year. Whether it's helping them establish a new routine, picking out school supplies or something as simple as discussing what they want to pack for lunch every day, it can all be helpful.

In this week's blog post, "Back to School: Tips for Helping Your Kids with Their Worries", Ashley Diehl, Ph.D. discusses how to prepare your child for school and other positive ideas to help him/her cope with their fears.

If you, your child or a loved one is still having trouble finding day-to-day positivity and would like to speak with one of our licensed psychologists or counselors in Tampa, then feel free to contact us to schedule a free consultation!

All my best...
