OPEN: CALL FOR CONCEPT NOTES FOR REGIONAL EVENTS 2022
The Strategic Collaborative Fund has an ongoing call for concept notes for regional strategic events in Asia that highlight the advancement of environmental sustainability, gender equality, human rights and poverty reduction.
Themes:
  1. Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction in the context of COVID-19 and the climate crisis (Climate Change and Disaster) –  Deadline: 17 February 2022
  2. Agri-food systems (Upcoming)
  3. Circular economy (Upcoming)
  4. Water resources management (Upcoming)
  5. Gender and climate change (Upcoming)

Event is referred as a broad term of interactive regional dialogues among policy actors and multi-stakeholders to ensure inclusive dialogues and collaborative approach. The proposed events should support the engagement and empowerment of those living in poverty, women, youth, children, ethnic minorities and other environmentally vulnerable groups and enable policy environment to unleash their full productivity potential. 

The format could be one or a series of events (workshops, forums, conferences etc.). It is required to cover the geographic scope with at least 3 countries and also address the transboundary issues and challenges in the region. Considering the pandemic and its restrictions, we are also open to virtual, hybrid and innovative approach. Guidance note on human rights and gender equality
SEI and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute (RWI) are jointly supporting the integration of gender equality and human rights into the SCF2 programme, including through coaching and support of grantees. 

This guidance note aims to support applicants to integrate human rights and gender equality in the design of their SCF2 project proposals.

All applications must be submitted online by filling this Submittable form and attaching the Concept Note. No email submissions will be entertained, and you are required to use the concept note template as provided. Please note that all deadlines are at 23:59 Bangkok time (GMT+7), please refer to each specific thematic call due date.

The Mekong Institute hosted the regional environmental policy forum entitled, Mainstreaming Agrobiodiversity for Sustainable Food System in the ASEAN Region, on 14-15 December 2021. If you missed the event, you can access the session recordings here.
The Asia-Europe Environment Forum (ENVforum) Annual Conference 2021 “Circular Food Systems – Solutions to Reverse Climate Change?” was held virtually on 30 November – 1 December 2021. SEI Asia will support the third stream on food security in times of pandemic through the Strategic Collaborative Fund programme
The Asian Institute for Technology conducted a workshop on Community-based management of wetland in Lower Songkram River Basin to promote good practices and insights on freshwater ecosystems conservation and management for sustainable utilization, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. 

The Green Recovery Multi-Stakeholder Forum hosted by SEED will facilitate dialogues to influence Green Recovery related policy decisions. It will engage with a wider circle of ecosystem stakeholders, including public/government agencies, development partners, international organisations, donors, corporate foundations and civil society organization (woman and minority right based organization) to ensure meaningful participation and social inclusive.
