World Brain Day, 22nd July 2016
The WFN is proud to celebrate World Brain Day for the third time on Friday 22 July this year. The topic will be the aging brain, and should alert the public on the increasing problems related to an aging population, including the issues of cognitive deficits and dementia.
We hope that you will be able to announce and promote this important day of the brain and topic in your country, Attached you will receive some promotion materials, which you can use in the name of the WFN and your society. In all materials you can add the logo of your society.
Media relations can play important part of the awareness activities around World Brain Day also in your country. Holding a press conference on this occasion has proven to be a successful tool for many national societies in the past. A template text for a press mailing can be downloaded below which you can adapt for your local/national needs, for example by adding quotes by national experts.
Also, the WFN will prepare video messages prior to the meeting, including statements by the President, the Secretary General, the Chair of the Public Awareness and Advocacy Committee and an expert on dementia. These videos will be made publicly available, and there will be a Q&A opportunity for journalists. For more information contact email@example.com
We hope that you will be able to join this important activity.
With best wishes
Dr. Mohammad Wasay MD, FRCP, FAAN
WFN Public Awareness and Advocacy Committee Chair
