Join Click2SciencePD for a training series designed to increase your ability to deliver top-notch making and tinkering activities. Even during these chaotic times, it is still important to progress on professional development as well as interact with your out-of-school time colleagues in safe ways. These Zoom workshops let you learn and connect from home or wherever you are working. Register for one, two, or all three of these 60-minutes interactive, hands-on, research-based sessions. Learn best practices in facilitating maker experiences that promote STEM learning.
April 15: Think, Make Create – and Learn
As a result of this workshop, you will:
- Be prepared to facilitate learning during making experiences.
- Define what makes making a learning experience.
- Know four indicators of learning in making and tinkering.
April 22: Select, Prepare and Plan Making Activates
As a result of this workshop, you will:
- Be prepared to plan and facilitate making activities that support learning and skill development.
- Know how the Tinkering Learning Dimensions Framework can help shape making experiences that support learning.
April 29: Turning Failures into Learning
As a result of this workshop, you will:
- Develop strategies for creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages failure.
- Be prepared to facilitate inclusive making experiences.
Registration fees are $20 per session OR all three workshops for only $30.
Workshops will be delivered via Zoom.
