U.S. News & World Report: UW-Eau Claire is top public regional university in Wisconsin
UW-Eau Claire was ranked first among public regional universities in Wisconsin, seventh among public schools in the Midwest and in the top two of public regional universities in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The university also received high marks from Forbes and Campus Pride.

Garder, a comparative studies in religion graduate, received the Legion of Merit last month at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Garder, the last Women’s Army Corps soldier on active duty, began her career in the Women's Army Corps in 1978 at Fort McClellan, Alabama, one year before it was integrated into the U.S. Army.
