What a year for F&W!
2014 was an amazing year for Famighetti & Weinick, PLLC. We're happy to share some important news about the firm, below.
We quickly outgrew our initial office space so on December 1st, Famighetti & Weinick officially relocated to 155 Pinelawn Road, Suite 220S in Melville. The building is easily accessed via the LIE, Northern State Parkway, or Southern State Parkway. By remaining in Melville, we continue to offer accessibility to clients throughout Long Island and New York City. The building offers all the modern amenities including elevator access, ample parking, and a cafeteria. Our office suite provides us private offices as well as conference rooms for larger meetings and depositions. Moreover, we share the space with accomplished lawyers with whom we can collaborate on projects. We're excited to be in our new space and we welcome visitors.
Success for clients and firm
2014 was a remarkable year for our clients and the firm. F&W obtained favorable outcomes for clients against large multinational corporations, area municipalities, and local employers. We have achieved both monetary settlements and other specially crafted resolutions unique to our clients' particular needs.
This year, Famighetti & Weinick was honored on multiple occasions. Peter Famighetti was selected to the New York Metro Super Lawyers list for the first time. Matt Weinick was selected to the Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Stars list for the third consecutive year. The Firm was nominated as "Best Law Firm" by the Bethpage FCU Best of Long Island program.
Individually, Pete and Matt have been busy, as well. Pete was appointed as general counsel for a large national labor union and expects to be appointed to another, in the coming months. He continues to proudly serve as attorney for Troop NYC and Troop L of the the New York State Police Investigators Association.
In November 2014, Matt participated in a seminar about the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act, hosted by Universal Abilities Employment Network. In January, his article about retaliation law was published by the Nassau County Bar Association's newspaper. Further, Matt is slated to co-present at a Continuing Legal Education program at the Bar Association this coming January.
2014 saw F&W build a strong client base, forge new relationships with attorneys, law firms, and other businesses, and prove itself as a leader in the field of labor and employment law. We look forward to continuing to work hard in 2015.
The FW Logo. Why Orange?
The Famighetti & Weinick logo is orange. But, why? Here are some of the symbolic meanings of orange, collected from the internet-
"Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation."
"Orange offers emotional strength in difficult times. It helps us to bounce back from disappointments and despair, assisting in recovery from grief."
"The color psychology of orange is optimistic and uplifting, rejuvenating our spirit. In fact orange is so optimistic and uplifting that we should all find ways to use it in our everyday life, even if it is just an orange colored pen that we use." (F&W uses orange everyday, in our letterhead, emails, and website!)
"Orange brings spontaneity and a positive outlook on life and is a great color to use during tough economic times, keeping us motivated and helping us to look on the bright side of life."
"Orange helps aid decision making, and enhances happiness, confidence, and understanding."
In sum, the color orange represents the values of the firm and the level of service our clients can expect from us. During this holiday season, we hope our orange logo brings our clients, friends, family, colleagues, and our adversaries, success, happiness, hope, and understanding.
