2015 Youth In Action Award

The Youth in Action award recognizes an outstanding 4-H’er who epitomizes 4-H youth empowerment. The award recipient will receive a $10,000 scholarship for higher education and an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC to attend National 4-H Council's Legacy Awards on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
In the 2014 fiscal year, NIFA provided 57 competitive grants totaling $16 million in funding to 44 land-grant institutions. These funds support youth development programming through the CYFAR program and through 4-H military partnership programs. In addition, approximately $13.7 million in capacity funding was distributed across the land-grant system for youth development efforts.
Join us on December 11th to discover the latest research conducted by the University of Georgia involving almost 1,400 youth of military families. The results speak to the well-being of youth and to family contexts in which youth develop. Moreover, the role that youth development programs have in the lives of youth are examined.

Diversity is any aspect that can be used to differentiate groups and people from one another. Inclusion is a condition of being valued, respected and supported. It should be reflected in an organization’s culture, practices and relationships that are in place to support a diverse workforce.
