Hot and very, very cool
Lava Paprika's large, flowing forms keep the eye roving and the imagination intrigued. The future has arrived and it's dynamic!
Move over sterile stripes! The flowing, informal lines of Rimini Colorado make for a confident and  colourful alternative.
The primitive motifs of Vanua Citrus have the feel of early cultures, yet are quite at home in the most modern of interiors.
Hot, hot, hot! The crisp vertical lines of Rimini Paprika wrap this footstool while the top features the  random curves of Lava Paprika.

Warm regards from Lynne

Hello, <<First Name>>, As you can see I'm in danger of being obsessed by warm colours. It might be because of our long hot summers here in Australia, but these days I just seem to love the warmth of the sunny end of the colour spectrum.

I also enjoyed creating these designs because I wanted to achieve an organic feeling with my more graphic, hard edged designs. I feel the Rimini series is especially successful as it takes on the sterile domain of stripes resulting in a softer, more natural, more comforting impression. Lava Paprika meanwhile, can't but help impart naturalistic movement to any scheme . . . together with a slight nod to 60s psychedelia!

With Vanua Citrus I developed a modern tribal look harking back to the influence native motifs had on the great modernist designers. I then brought it up to date to suit contemporary interiors with crisp, strong colours and controlled placement.

I hope you enjoy these hot designs as much as I did in creating them.

All these fabrics are available on our website and, as usual, all are on Social Fabric's standard hardwearing upholstery fabric. Perfect for bedspreads, indoor furnishings and lampshades.

Keep cool and have a great day!Lynne

Did you know we print on different base cloths?
Base cloth
1 Most of our designs are printed on our standard base cloth – a snow white, general purpose, man made fibre base cloth. Fire resistant and durable with a Wyzenbeek rating of 70,000 double rubs, this fabric is made to last and is tough enough for commercial use yet feel soft and comfortable.

All Contempo and Moderne ranges are printed on this except for the Madison and Sputnik series.

2  Our second most popular base cloth is Bangkok – a linen look open weave with a natural colour. It suits the current trend of modernist design, it has a softer hand, which is great for drapery and its open weave is perfect for lampshades. It is very hard wearing and appropriate for commercial applications.
Available on Bangkok: Madison Azul or Spice. Sputnik Mocha or Pumice

3  Newport is a recent alternative to Bangkok. A more substantial hand with a slightly open weave and random texture make it perfect for general upholstery. A slight sheen together with a natural beige colouring give it a cosmopolitan air.

Available on Newport: Madison Azul or Spice. Sputnik Mocha or Pumice

This year, we are introducing a sheer base cloth into our existing ranges as well as producing new designs specifically for it. This sheer fabric is beautifully textured with a loose weave and is perfectly suited to delivering a subtle sense of mid century glamour. (Note the hint of Lava Paprika on sheer in the background of the picture of the footstool above.)
