SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!

As sunnier skies approach, we know how excited everyone is to brush off a year of being cooped-up and soak in the fresh sounds, sights, and scents of the season. All the anticipation has us feeling renewed and inspired (and working overtime planning our gardens)!  Below are a few design trends we are seeing this season and beyond:
  • Color is the new happy. Clients are pulling from every color in the rainbow to build their own unique flavor of happy in their homes – from bold, high-saturation pinks, jades, and yellows to warm, nature-inspired palettes. Thoughtfully layering color in a design – the same way one might layer an outfit – adds depth, interest, and impact.
  • Art is in. One of the biggest (and most welcome, if you ask us!) changes we’ve seen over the last year is more artwork in homes. Art is one of the most impactful elements of any design – whether displaying in high visibility spaces like living rooms and other gathering areas, or enjoying smaller pieces in unexpected areas like closets, powder rooms, and laundry rooms.
  • Bringing the outdoors indoors. What better time to bring the influence of nature indoors than spring? Many people are opting for natural over traditional touches in their designs, like unstained tabletops and lots of indoor plants (and like any great piece of art, the right planter can add the perfect finishing touch to a room).

 FEATURED PROJECT

BONHOMME

Please enjoy our Bonhomme project, where we layered inviting neutral tones with organic textures and accents to create a gorgeous blend of serenity and surprise. Indoor plants, perfectly placed in decorative containers throughout the home, bring the freshness and bold colors of springtime florals indoors. In the main living space, mink tones and muted blues play against the lush greenery that awaits just outside the windows, while the bedroom and bathroom feature grasscloth walls and rich stained cabinetry that create a cozy and welcoming sanctuary.

BEHIND THE SCENES

We’re gearing up to add some beautiful custom details to our Crandon Drive project! We recently had the chance to preview some of the fixtures and finishes that are going to make this space pop – including sleek rose gold faucets, on-site wood floor stain samples, and a truly stunning Blue Roma Quartzite custom desktop.

One of our favorite elements of this project are the breathtaking white infinity quartzite countertops. We can’t wait to see them take shape as the centerpiece of the client’s kitchen!

DESIGN HACK

The promise of warmer weather has many of us feeling eager to get out of the house and enjoy the great outdoors again. If you’re thinking about refreshing your outdoor space this spring, now is the time to start planning! Here are some design hacks to keep in mind:
  • Break up large spaces. Get the most out of  your outdoor space by using decorative elements to break it up into smaller, more intentional zones – like dining spaces, lounge areas, pools, and a place for the kids to play. This will make your entire outdoor oasis feel more organized and functional for everyone. Pieces like metal or glass sculptures, decorative partitions, or custom fence work can help you create these spaces while adding a stunning aesthetic touch at the same time!
  • Look for inspiration everywhere. As you’re dreaming up the perfect outdoor space for spring, look for inspiration everywhere. One of April’s favorite spots is the Missouri Botanical Garden, where native plants and beautiful outdoor décor abound. As the weather starts to get warmer, make an afternoon of visiting for inspiration! Think about the outdoor spaces that make you feel renewed and refreshed and find ways to bring that feeling home.

Wishing you health in beautiful spaces,
