With each design project our expert team takes on, we aspire to deliver our clients a polished, elevated look that will never be found in any other home they walk into and perfectly suits their personality, needs, and lifestyle.

And while creating a unique space comes with its own set of unique challenges, our designers at ADJ are armed with a tried-and-true process to discover what it is that truly speaks to you, then executing on it to perfection.

Our goal is to help take your vision for your home from your thoughts to reality — and we’ll stop at almost nothing to bring your space to life, all while placing the perfect cherry on top every step of the way. Read our latest blog to see how we implement cutting-edge design into our clients’ homes.

Our clients were looking for a sophisticated look that would stand the test of time. In their powder room, gold accents adorn throughout — from the ornate mirror flanked by soft-lit sconces to the satin brass finish on the cabinet handles. Covering the walls is a rich and moody navy textured wallpaper with gold accents that completes the refined vibe.

In the master bedroom, velvet navy accents add a splash of color and complement the grey tones for a relaxing look. Take a close peek at the wall covering, and you’ll discover it is a textured grasscloth — always a timeless choice!

And the piece de resistance is the living room. The goal for this space was to accentuate the impressive height while still making sure it felt inviting. White is the primary base; built-in bookshelves are embellished with a collection of crystal glassware, gold vases, frames, and a large mirror above the marble fireplace to create depth; and the blue velvet sofa provides a beautiful, classic spot to gather. And we can't forget those sconces which may be our favorite addition (so glam and elegant)!

We love every inch of this space … almost as much as our client!

We are excited to once again be featured in The Scout Guide St. Louis later this year! Keep your eyes peeled for the newest edition coming out in October … but for now, here’s a sneak peek of our glam day of shooting!

If your summers are anything like ours, they are packed with fun vacations, backyard BBQs, pool time with friends, and concerts, of course! Live in the moment this season and enjoy the time, but don’t ignore the little voice in your head that’s thinking about the upcoming holiday season!

We love creating a calendar to keep us on track with our project goals and schedule time for putting out decor for the holidays! Following is a quick overview of what ADJ founder April’s calendar looks like through the end of the year:
  • June: Will we be hosting any summer gatherings? What decorations would I need, and what can I purchase that I can reuse?
  • July/August: Spruce up flower pots by trimming and cutting out any dead flowers. A little more time on our hands? Incorporate some fall flowers to extend the life of the planters.
  • September: Are we hosting any school dance pre-parties? What will I need to decorate my home for those events? Oh, and don’t forget Halloween decorations.
  • October: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years … Make a list of what I’ll need if/when I’m hosting, and organize my entertaining items — including glassware, plates, and extra party decor.
Remember — organization is in style year-round!

Meet the newest cherries in the bunch — welcome to the ADJ team, Lauren and Olivia! Both St. Louis natives identified moody and attention-grabbing Huntleigh Vault as the ADJ project they first fell in love with (we agree – with its rich textures and materials, you can’t help but stare at this design forever)! Learn a bit more about each below.
Lauren Zufall is currently studying Interior Design at Maryville University. She has always enjoyed all things creative-based and was inspired to pursue design as a career when she realized the importance of living in a space you love. She believes a home is the perfect outlet for the owner to express their emotions, personality, and beliefs, and Lauren finds it very special to be a part of the process. She was drawn to ADJ by our unique and beautiful spaces and our team won her over with our mission, inspiring her to be passionate about design and push the limits to create beautiful spaces, all while not taking life too seriously.
Her favorite design-style show to watch is Architectural Digest’s Open Door tours on YouTube, and her personal favorite episode is Dakota Johnson’s home tour, whom she credits for the current green kitchen cabinet trend!

Olivia Currington, who graduated in May 2021 with her bachelor’s in Interior Design, was inspired to pursue design by her dad. Growing up they watched HGTV’s Design Star together, and he was the one who ultimately pushed her to make a career of her passion. When she saw the clean and beautiful designs of our projects, she wanted to be a part of the “cherry bunch,” but the personalities of everyone and the fun work environment she experienced during her interview truly sealed the deal.

With reality TV and celebrities at the top of her guilty pleasure list, it’s no surprise that Celebrity I.O.U. is her favorite design-style show — watching celebrities give back by renovating the homes of the people who mean the most to them warms her heart (and brings a tear to her eye nearly every episode).

  • Our team is on the move this summer — Meagan recently took a trip to Hilton Head with her family (Quinn had a fantastic time playing in the ocean, and they all loved riding around with the top down), Jill just returned from hiking and relaxing in Sedona, and April is currently in Europe! (Peek at the pictures below and watch for more in our next newsletter.)
  • Speaking of Europe, April’s son Julien will be interning in London for a semester! We can’t wait to hear about his adventures.
Exploring the world — every little corner — helps our team refresh and come back inspired to craft exciting new designs for our clients.
